Masterplans and Parameter Plans

HDA’s urban design team has masterplanned mixed-use and residential sites for site promotions and planning applications that range from 10 homes to 5,000 homes. We are experienced at at working with areas, densities and ratios, whilst ensuring that we design high quality places.

Illustrative masterplans and site parameter plans are usually established through an iterative process of assessment with input from the client team and engagement with stakeholders. Initial sketch and concept options are tested and refined to establish agreed development principles and parameters.

An understanding of a site and its context adds value by ensuring proposals respond positively to a sites character and features.

STEEL CROSS

Working with ASP, HDA helped Knight Developments achieve a resolution to grant planning permission for this scheme of 103 homes in Wealden District. The site is within the High Weald AONB and within 7km of the Ashdown Forest SPA/SAC. HDA’s inputs included landscape, ecology, masterplanning and expert witness.
