A residential led mixed use development for approximately 500 homes to the west of Hoddesdon. The project constituted a major development within the Green Belt.
HDA has been involved with this project from the outset, providing initial baseline information and identifying landscape constraints and opportunities, which were used to inform the masterplan approach and layout. HDA was also involved in the initial Green Belt analysis of the site, recommending robust Green Belt boundaries to the proposals.
HDA provided landscape advice and support at the local plan inquiry and throughout the masterplan process and produced an LVIA chapter for the ES, along with supporting plans and illustrative sketches that were included in the Design and Access Statement. HDA also carried out a range of ecology surveys and prepared the EcIA chapter for the ES.
Outline planning permission has been granted for the site and HDA commissioned to produce the Design Code for the site, in addition to elements of the detailed landscape design, to satisfy planning conditions set out by Broxbourne Borough Council.
