HDA provided comprehensive tree consultancy services during the design and construction of this flood alleviation scheme within the North Wessex Downs AONB. This included conducting a tree survey in accordance with BS5837 and producing an initial Arboricultural Implications Assessment (AIA) and Tree Constraints Plan (TCP) to inform the positioning and detailed design of the scheme. All HDA tree plans are produced electronically in CAD format, allowing integration with design drawings.
Following liaison to arrive at a final design, we prepared an amended impact assessment, tree works specification and a detailed Arboricultural Method Statement (AMS) to inform construction-phase activities. Sensitive construction work adjacent to trees was conducted under an arboricultural watching brief to ensure no damage to retained trees.
