COVID-19

During these challenging times, HDA is doing all it can to ensure safety of its employees, with all staff working and communicating efficiently from home.

We continue to provide all our usual landscape, ecology, arboricultural and heritage services, working in the best interests of our clients. Site survey work is currently possible in keeping with government requirements, whilst taking strict precautions. Get in touch if we can help with your projects.

EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP

HDA is delighted to announce that ownership of the practice has successfully transferred to an Employee Ownership Trust.

Whilst the company’s management structure remains largely unchanged, the Trust will own HDA on behalf of all employees, securing its future and giving employees a vested interest in the success of the practice.

EAST GRINSTEAD

Following recent approval of reserved matters for up to 200 dwellings at Hill Place near East Grinstead, HDA has now produced the landscape, ecology and arboriculture inputs into the construction tender package.

HDA is also working with the council to finalise the proposed Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG). The SANG will be a significant new open space on the edge of East Grinstead, providing new public views of the re-opened Grade II listed Imberhorne Viaduct along the Bluebell heritage railway.

HDA has recently obtained tenders to create extensive woodland at a site near Enfield. HDA is now overseeing implementation of the contract, with planting due to start imminently. In the long term, the woodland will have a significant benefit to local wildlife.

The project is useful tender and contract experience for Melody, who is currently studying the Landscape Institute’s ‘Pathway to Chartership’, to become a chartered landscape architect.
